Worse then lame, can I apply somewhere to get that 35 seconds plus the time it took to load, the time to read and reply to this thread back?

Man...just having some fun!
I wish I had all the time back that I spent voting on lame photos here on DPC too! I've spent time looking over some real DOGS in the challenges.

Were any of them titled "Unbelievable Capture" too? :P
Btw, I didn't see the video. I've had problems with smugmug so I couldn't get it to work. |

Matt could have used those 35 seconds to learn the appropriate times to use "then", "than", and proper punctuation!
The video quality looked pretty good, but I'm also comparing it to my ol' Sony F707. |

Are you kidding? No...they weren't any titled "unbelievable capture" but some are so bad I felt like smashing the monitor into my head.
I know I have put some dogs up too but I still wish I had the time spent giving out 3,4, and 5s.

The problem was with your delivery.
It's unfortunate that people chose to call you on it so harshly, but if you were really just looking for comments on the video quality of the D90, there were better ways to do it. |

Ken,
Can I say that I liked the pictures of your home more than I liked the video? You have a beautiful home! :-)
Cool bird by the way.

My god man....It was a joke. Look...look what I found...a wild cockatiel...oh no...it's just a bird in the den !
I didn't think it would cause such a ruckus....if ruckus is a word.

Take it from someone who tries to be funny and fails miserably all the time. This time you failed miserably :)

Hey thanks for looking at the bird and house ! I hate to say it, but my property tax is going up this year along with everyone else in the county (parish in Louisiana). It's going to put a big dent in my camera/video buying power. I'm glad I got the D90 before the tax notice !

Now that's what I envisioned ! Someone actually peering over their monitor, hearing this dope videographer oooing and ahhhing over a wild bird...only to pan the cam and see a kid doing homework ! I really thought people would like it !

I actually thoght it was funny as well. People need to chill out. As for the video quality, the focus seemed slower than I thought it would but the clarity is rockin. Thanks for having fun and sharing Ken. |

Ken, you truly did get an amazing capture there; a kid who does homework and smiles at her father! ;) |

Thanks cryan...I focused "crazy" on purpose for comedic effect ! The D90 is manual focus in video mode, so all focus is done by me !
Here is another vid. This one is short shot of a party. It has some movement and I focused as best I could. It is going to take some getting used to!
See new video from D90
Thanks for looking.

Don't be fooled Bee....If I videoed all of our "homework scenes" you'd wonder why I wasn't in a mental institution !

I can't believe how pathetic some of the people on DPC are. To try to tear down a man who is just enjoying his new camera is really sad. I am glad my life is better than that. These people who are so critical of this pretty cool video need to either grow up, get a life, or both! Stop being such killjoys and just enjoy things. Cool video by the way. |
