ok....looks like I'll have the brown sewn up...based on these conversations...
I'm mad at myself, it looked MUCH better on my laptop at home, then I looked at work and I agree with the comments I have received so far...and my picture is gonna tank! |

Don't fret yet....the really low scorers don't always post and neither do the really high scorers! The few scores that you're seeing in here are simply a few. Many don't bother with these threads. You may be delightfully surprised to find out that there are far lower scores than yours! :)
But, hey....I am the proud owner of the coveted Brown Ribbon! It may not be the ribbon that most want to go for but, I can surely say that I'm a "Ribboner"! :) If you do get the brown...you've simply joined the Ribboner Group! Blue, Red, Yellow and Brown...all ribbons! |

| By the way, lighten up voters and see some humour in shots. I am noticing that some voters are SO caught up in finding flaws in shots that they will find flaws in an intentional and rather insignificant aspect of a photo that was meant to be there as an over-exaggeration to be humorous. Shhheeeesshhh. |

Sometimes I feel bad when I do relatively well on a challenge for once. I can almost promise that my next entry will be much lower! :-)

I've been asked to submit my proof file and my score isn't even that great. I read in one of the forums recently, they don't ask for validation unless people complain. It's an awful feeling that someone thinks I cheated.

Whats taking so long they still haven't validated my proof. I submitted it at 10:00 last night.

Do not sweat it -- My one validation did not occur until the challenge voting was over. I think they have to send a bunch of emails around to each other (SC) and get consensus, even if it is pretty obvious that no editing rules were broken.

Scoring in the range I expected, but overnight I got a high vote and a great comment from a high scoring member that tells me I nailed exactly what I was after with this shot.

Unfortunately i was unable to submit for this challenge, but having gone through a few of the images, so far there has not been very many that actually convey a strong message of 'work'. Perhaps that will change as i go along.
To me, the photo should depict what work is, not something where the title has to explain the work reference to the viewer. It looks as if people have become lazy and that is a real shame. If you dont have an image that fits the subject, wait until you do rather than try and manipulate the title.

I've had to have two of mine validated (which they were) and it took at least a full day before I got that validation. So, just hang in there. It'll come. And, by the way...I'd be jumping up and down right now if my score was 5.8!!! LOL
