Yep, that's been well-established.
So well-established, in fact, that people have taken advantage of it by putting things in the nude gallery that didn't belong (yours seems to, though). And then gotten reprimanded by the SC.
For example, out of my 10 most-viewed challenge entries, every one was in the top 20 and scored higher than 6.39 except one: my single nude challenge, which scored 5.1 and was in the 25th percentile. And the 2 non-challenge shots with the most views are in the nude gallery, with views more than 2.5x the 3rd-place shot.

I think it's because some folks (me included) have to click on the image to view it. The thumbnail doesn't show the image if the user has his profile set for this.
I have young boys in the house... It's safer this way. :)
If I can see the thumbnail, I usually know whether I want to click on the image to view it larger. With the 'nude' group, I have to click to see if I want to see it. Make sense?

It has always been a way to get looks. I did it with a naked blue dead lizard and had many views. Now your shot will be removed if it doesn't fit the category, at least that was promised. But this is my best naked shot that was in nude category for awhile. Most likely from the many perverts who look at the DPC nudes.

In all seriousness, please don't post anything particularly risque. As a 16-year-old, you could put the site in jeopardy.
I'm really not interested in starting a debate about what should be the case, only in warning you about what I believe is, in fact, the case.
I'm not sure, though, so I'm going to ask the SC to ring in.

Please read the Guidelines on Forums, Adult Content & Nudity, and the Nude Gallery.
To wit: subject lines in forum threads should contain a warning when posting images containing nudity, and non-nude images should not be posted to the Nude Gallery in order to gain more image views. In addition, nudity of minor children is scrutinized closely and may be removed from the site depending on the circumstances.

| I posted a picture of a really great car in the nude gallery once -- not to get views, but as a kind of funny comment that I considered the car to be even sexier than a nude. In fact, "Sexier than a nude" is what I called the pic. It got hundreds of views - I was amazed. This was true even though the thumbnail clearly shows that there is nothing in the pic but a car. I removed the picture after a few days and put it somewhere else. |

I frequently do this on flickr. Ill add some nonsense tags to images and those images end up getting more views.

Teens, Nude, Naked, Pron, Party, Noodz |

| so they made me move my famous tummy photo(over 2000 views) away form the nude section. this angers me a teeny bit, but whatever. it does already have 2000 views:) |
