Man its freezing and windy here today don't want to go outside!!

I apologise in advance, but I will be travelling for the next 5 days (business trip) and will most likely have limited DPC access. I will comment whenever I can. Also, hope you don't mind, but I am going to post 5 pics ahead of schedule to cover the next days. This is a series of 5 gerbera shots converted to B&W. Each pic has been converted using a different method. Some are straight forward PS others are plug in filters.

ETA: Wouldn't it be cool if there was a Flower challenge soon? I was looking earlier, there has only ever been 1 challenge dedicated to flowers and that was 2 yrs ago, about 1 mth before I joined DPC. I know there are flowers in almost every challenge that crops up, but it would be nice if there was one just for us!
ETA. WOW, I edited those pics on my laptop and now I'm on my desktop. They look so dark. Yikes. Will re-post I think.

Sorry was one day behind, so this is the one for today
I think this picture is cute (since the butterfly seems to be looking at the camera), but as you all guys know, I'm still learning photoshop. If somebody wants to give me some ideas, how they would have process it differently, I will appreciate it.

Guys,
I'm going to have to bow out.
We have building works going on here and next week I'm having my wisdom teeth removed so will be sleeping for 7 days (I've asked the surgeon for an anethestic that lasts a week - GRIN!)
Keep 'em coming - I hope to comment when I can.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery Lisa. I had all 4 wisdom teeth out at the same time & grew to hate the taste of blood--cold (used) tea bags were a great help as a compress & tastes better than gauze. Take it easy--make everyone wait on you hand & foot! |
