Oh, I remember this thread. Thanks for resurrecting it.

two more, one from an old composition class:

1.Make a composition in the shape of the letter L.
Do NOT use the letter L in your composition.

2.Parking lot - be creative.

Both are harder than they look.

I really hope that in the 1+ year this thread has been alive, Langdon has seen it. There's more than he could ask for here, enough challenges to last 'til 2011 (at least).

I don't have any suggestions. Cars? =P

Unless you all specifically want challenges with only titles and no additional descriptions (I know some do), you ought to add those as jhomrighaus has on some suggestions, or you may end up with a description you don't like.

I haven't gone back to the beginning of the thread, but has anybody suggested a challenge topic of

I Double Dog Dare You? ;-)

Well, I was thinking it could either be something with two dogs, two feet, or someone inviting someone else to do something seemingly stupid ... ;-)

Quiet/Loud

Quiet - your photograph should engender a sense of quiet, peace, calm.
Loud - your photograph should engender a sense of loud, vibrant, frenetic.

Serenity Now : photograph your idea of serenity. All entries must have the title "Serenity Now" - thus keeping the photog from stressing over a title.
