I thought I would post a couple of images from today...
This one of me and my brother-in-law...
And this of the Seattle, WA. skyline
My Mom was a woman with a spirit for adventure... she love airplanes, roller coasters, boating etc., and she would travel anywhere. I, on the other hand, have been rather a "chicken shit", when it comes to these things. When my Mom died on Thursday, I wanted her spirit for adventure, so today was my first step in experiencing that. I flew in a single engine plane... and it was Awesome!!!

Day 15
I was wandering around the shops during lunch hour today (it is so SLOW in the office due to the summer holidays) and for once remembered to take my camera. As I was wandering around looking for some inspiration (birthday present shopping) I looked up and noticed these legs (in the hosiery dept) and thought how strange they looked. Anyway, that's what happens if you have your camera with you I guess! You post sill pics online.

Day 15
A side note, my day 11 & 12, were taken at a bar in my home town. The health department just issued a health alert for any patrons who drank anything with ice or lemons or ate anything from the salad bar needs to get a hepatitis A vaccine. The dishwasher tested positive for Hep A! I feel so bad for the owner because some of his irresponsible employees never told him, he found out today, when the alert went out!! Oh, yea I'm in the clear, only bottled beer for me!!! There's always drama that surrounds me, but usually never involves me! |

I hope nobody minds me posting this for today's SOL. Back in May I took a trip to Morocco (a few shots posted around DPC) for a photography holiday. Long story, short, I won one of the little competitions during the holiday and the prize was to have the picture of my choice made into a canvas.
Anyway, after a bit of discussion with the leader of the tour, we decided to get this panoramic shot made into the canvas. It's about 8 shots stitched together in PS. At the time I only had the trial version, so this is the only panoramic pic I have ever done. I did get up in the middle of the night (well, 5.00 am) to take the pics. OK, now this is becoming a bit longer than I intended. Anyway, I fly home to the UK tomorrow for a long weekend, and I will get to see the finished canvas for the first time. My parents tell me it is pretty great (and HUGE!), but until I see it for myself,........ Anyway, there you have it, my slice of today and tomorrow!
ETA. I would do it a bit differently if I was doing it again, so I know it's a long way from perfect!
