Jeb, I'll PM ya my cell so you can find us. Around 9:30 I'll need to take Robert to the train station, but then hook back up with everyone else.
Mary: I'll trade ya some play time with my Nikon 70-200 2.8 for some time with your Sigma 100-300 4.0. Of course, at night, with long exposures on tripods (or monopods), the differences probably boil down to focal length alone.

Can't wait to see you all tomorrow! We're scheduled to meet at 10:30am at the zoo entrance nearest the red line. I think you all have Judy's cell, so here's mine (I'll be driving up tomorrow morning from SW VA): 540.355.6898.
I'm looking forward to seeing you all (mostly again, as I've met most of you before). I've been on a whirlwind tour so-to-speak, but anxious to reconnect with reality!

I'll be arriving in the A.M. with my daughter and two of her friends.
Daughter claims she's bringing her D40, but something tells me the teens'll ditch us old farts.
I probably won't stay for the night shots, but head home after dinner.

Heh all. It is the day of and I am so excited - I woke up at 4:15 so if I start dragging around 3:00 p.m. please throw some cold water on me (oh wait, don't do that, I did my hair this morning - LOL).
I cannot wait to see you guys. Did you check out the moon last night? Holy cow - it was AWESOME. Jimmy, my son and I will be at the zoo around 10:30. WOO HOO |

Since I got there for dinner, I only took one quick shot of Judy ( Jutilda):
Judy seems to know her camera well. One might say, based on this photo, intimately. ;)

This was a very nice GTG. Different in so many ways from my previous experiences with the DPC traveling photoshoots. First I want every one to know how much credit jutilda deserves for making this all come together like it did. Thanks so much Judy! Thanks also to  SJCarter and levyj413 for helping me out with transport while I was there. Jeff also gave me a personal tutorial. Thanks guys! MaryO was also very helpful with directions and getting us fed!
It was good to see some familiar faces NikonJeb and banmorn and really nice meeting my new friends. If any of you have met Judy's son Grayson, you know what a great kid he is. He spent a good deal of the day shooting with me and I enjoyed every minute of his company!
I'll get some pics put up in this thread later. |

| I had a ball everyone. I'm so enjoying all of the photos. I can't play with mine til we get home tomorrow. Hugs to all of you for coming and enduring the heat. It was worth of every drop of sweat for me. Grayson loved all of you guys and really enjoyed getting the help from scooter97 (Scott). Hugs to you all. :~) |
