Sigh where were these when I finally won not one but two ribbons back to back. First a red with this>>>>>> followed up by a blue with this one>>>>> I had them both on the front page at the same time :) Something I will most likely do again *SIGH*

MAX!

Don't worry about it. Keep entering challenges, I will be giving hats to the winners as well. If you think you can't make your PB but can win a ribbon, you do have chance. Goal here to encourage people to do better :)

Oh good!! I've pulled it off twice (in a year and a half) -- there might be a chance of that someday!

I had a PB in June, hope I get to go one better this month. Man, I need a hat for my baldy, slaphead. Winter is just around the corner!

I am not sure if i can continue giving free hats, Langdon gave me only one more set permission since he owns the brand. If I find extra money and Langdon says ok, I will have the 4th batch for 2011. However, I am not sure if this will happen. I hope others will join, those who can afford such giveaways, and probably ask permission to print shirts. I am sure Langdon is working on some hats, shirts, coffee cups to sell, but until then, why not encourage people to join DPC and encourage to take better photos?

In spite of the fact that I think I have a strong entry for this one, no, not in a freestudy.

Reminder for the Hat Award of August 2010 FS. The first PB will get a DPC hat. That might be a ribbon winner or not... There is a few days left.

Good luck :)

I wish I give hats to all challenges, but I have only 12 ( Langdon's limit)

Out of curiosity, is it "absolute personal best" (i.e. shows up #1 in one's profile) or "personal-best-in-a-free-study"?

Absolute personal bests are pretty hard to come by for those who started in DPC when scoring was much more liberal, of course, but that makes them all the more satisfying. "Free Study Bests" are a little more attainable, but would be hard to verify...

Absolute best, the one shows far left of the challenge entries. And the first from the top, so that could be the winner, usually PBs are the ribbon winners if I am not mistaking, but who knows, could be 5th place or 10th. That's what makes it interesting IMO. If there is first timers, their only entry will be their PB obviously, but they have to make it top of PSs... which will be difficult as well :)

paulbtlw (first prize) would get the hat, that's also his PB

I wasn't trying to claim any prizes, just pointing out that someone's PB would not necessarily have a particularly high finish in the challenge in which it was entered.

Good luck! FS starts tonight.

"Sunshine After The Rain" Challenge winner will have another surprise with the DPC Hat...

Judi's Book "Words are not enough"

Judi was nice enough to agree to do this. There is no doubt you will take your best shots anyway, however, her book will make things more exciting :)

Good luck to you all!
