I've not been a participant in this thread, but I have been a fairly big loser. Jeb (this guy is my hero) helped me find the motivation to get started in January with a few of his early posts on his own weight loss. Just thought I'd share this:

And a little of my own progress to date. I did weightwatchers online (core program) starting in January. I'm no longer a member, having learned how to change my eating habits. My weigh-in is Saturday. Here's my progress to date:
Today was my 34th week since starting my new, healthier lifestyle. The day I joined WW.com, I was 249 lbs. Today I weighed in at 181. I have lost 68 pounds, or 27.3% of my starting weight. My goal is 175, which is where I wrestled in high school, and will place my BMI back in the "normal" range. My weekly average is 2 pounds per week. My blood pressure is in the normal range for the first time since my early 20's. I just did some shopping for some new pants - all my old ones were ungodly large (I was wearing 44 waistlines).
Shot the pic below very hastily, sorry for the crappy quality. The one on the left is about 3 years old, probably weight ~240 or so at the time.

Hi everyone. Thought I would join in on the fun of losing that extra weight I've been gaining for the last 30 years. I'm determined to reach my weight goal of 170 and beyond and will keep a chart as some of you do in this thread. It may serve as more motivation to keep up my effort although I am very motivated of late with results I can see week after week. What better motivation than seeing the scale stop at a smaller number than the week before. I've been losing 2 pounds per week but have eaten accordingly and exercised almost everyday for a total burn of 600 calories or more. I only do cardio, no weights or machines except some shoulder work for my injury.
So congrats to all of you for losing the weight and keep up the great work!

Well after my 15K this morning and after my shower I got on the scale in all my nekkidniss and I lost another 2 pounds. It's actually a wee bit more but I'll leave it at 2 lbs. Woohoo! 170's here I come. :D

Attaway Jac. I'm a little stuck at 225, but I'm predicting a loss for next week, as I have been seeing lower numbers than usual on previous days. I blame the six pints and giant bowl of onion rings I had at Wednesday night's pub quiz for my lack of loss today. I'm going to either switch to booze, or cut down on the beer. I'll substitute a salad for the rings. Ah, the price I have to pay to become so sexy.

Aww Slippy, rings and beer are going to kill your sexy waistline but you already know that. I refused to go out with a friend last night just because I knew I would drink 3 or 4 beers and then get home with a major case of the munchies and devour whatever was in sight. But alas I avoided it. Do you think I would have cycled 15K this morning after that? lol I don't think I would have gotten further than the stretching.
I would have skipped the 15K this morning if I were this guy.

The odds of winning a lotto are so spectacular. If I ever won one, I'd expect to also be immediately carried off by a tornado and simultaneously hit by lightning and bitten by a shark while flying through the air. But it would be worth it.

lol I hope i'm not around if you do win. But then again I love tornadoes. Judging by his looks, I figure lots of younger folk will buy lotto tickets now. What is he, 22? Good for him, I hope he doesn't spend it all on cars. eheh

I weighed myself again this morning and I lost another pound somewhere. ehehehehehehehehehe I'm melting I tell ya!
Off to bike another 10-15Km in 5 minutes. First of two today, like yesterday. Damn cold but it's all ok after 3Km or so. I come back sweaty as heck. Yay!
the meltdown continues.....
My 10-15km turned into 17km. Yesssssssss! :D I feeel goood!!
