Same here - seems to be a pretty universal trend. Interesting that Langdon has changed the stats from with camera and without camera to participants and non-participants. I take it that non-participants is everyone who cast a vote but didn't enter a photo in to the challenge; if that is the case it does give some credance to the arguement that some people subconsciously (or otherwise if you are into conspiracy theories) vote lower when they have a photo in the same challenge. |

Though not a big difference in my votes I think that the best way to overcome this issue is by avoiding participant to vote in the contest in which they have a entry. |

Sadly you can't really prevent people who enter the contest from voting, then you'd get a lot less votes. But it should be brought to everyones attention so that they can take a look into their own voting and determine whether or not they vote lower on challenges they enter than the ones they don't enter. |

This is something I posted in another thread which I think is perhaps more topical here:
For the challenge
Average Score: 5.18502
Highest Score: 7.142
Median Score: 5.2154
Lowest Score: 2.8659
There was a lot of good images that got slammed and a lot of shots that were scored below a five which I cannot fathom. The site average here is 5.5 and the average for this challenge was 5.18 That might not seem to be a lot but given the large number of entries in that challenge (385) the average should have been a lot closer to normal. It should also be pointed out that the top image received 169 votes chich isn't even half of the number of entries. (Most challenges I think I get about 200 votes typically).
I had a look at some of the shots in the "middle of the pack". I understand that people get a handful of 1's, 2's, and 3's. There is a lot that got 10 or more.
I'm not saying that there is overt cheating going on but something smells awfully fishy to me.
