That makes me smile, Lea - congrats! And yes, sometimes the little things are the best. I put a bunch of my vacation pictures on a disk for my dad and his wife - showed them to her and she said "Oh, we finally have a vacation with really good pictures!!" They're delighted with them and will undoubtedly bore my other relatives with them as well. Side note - will be heading to Afghanistan later today, sandstorms permitting, and will probably not get much internet access while I'm there. Should be back to Kuwait within the week, flights permitting.

Well here we are again I entered Cowboy wanted to do something in honor of Sean. I feel that I've learned alot being here, but looking at my scores the site dosen't think I have. I'm shoting for myself and my friends and family. I know that I'll never match the top of this place, but it's still fun to take the pictures and try to post process them. When it becomes a chore and not fun anymore I'll stop.

PS Deb stay safe.

Congrats on the compliments, Lea! That's how I felt when I checked my DPCPrints account and found out someone bought two 8x10s of mine recently. :)

Sidney Crosby is the 20ish wunderkind Canadian hockey player, who is captain of the Pittsburgh Penguins. They lost the Stanley Cup finals in Game 6 to the Detroit Red Wings. Clearly from Christian's neck of the woods!

I haven't even looked at my Partners score. Won't bother.

JR was in an 8k race today with his cub scout troop. He ran as part of a relay team. He ran 2 miles, averaging 11 minutes per mile. He had a blast and received a medal. Did I mention it was in the high 90's with a heat index over 100? Way to go JR!!

Wow good work JR! You must be very happy!

Off to scout the locale for my cowboy shoot. A local farrier (yep, a female farrier) has given me permission to use her handsome Texan hubby, who actually has worked as a cowboy, for the shoot. If I'm really lucky there may also be some team penning or a slide going on in the immediate area too...at $1.28 a litre don't want to drive more than need be...

'Grats to the new top-5ers, huge 'grats to JR for his run (that's really a good pace, by the way!) and glad you have your camera back, Kelli!

I'm in Afghanistan with a flight back to Kuwait in the morning, although that's always tentative. I'll be back in Kuwait for about a week, a little less. Gotta say that I'm enjoying it much more this time around. Mostly because it is only for a couple of weeks, but also because I know what to expect, and I'm enjoying visiting with the people again. Not much as far as pictures this time, though. Just a few shots for me.

£1.16 a litre here in England - which equates to around $2.32 a litre or $8.79 per US gallon! It costs me nearly 10% of my take-home salary to get to and from work each day...

Here in Michigan it's $4.19/gallon. I don't know what that equates to in Litres.

£1.16 per litre is around $8.79 per US gallon.
$4.19 per US gallon = $1.08 per litre which is around £0.54 a litre.

Conversion is
litre to US gallon multiply by 3.79
US gallon to litre multiply by .26

Sitting at $1.35CAD per litre here at the moment.

Which is about $1.32 USD / litre
Or $5.00 / gallon

I think many of us have heard of dogs doing agility courses, some may have even had the fortune to see them.
It's fast and fun, and I know I enjoy watching the agility trials.

Yesterday, our family went to Woofstock, and caught a bit of an agility trial, but this one had a bit of a twist !

Here's a photo I took :
