 - Day 29
Nearly at the end of this wonderful side challenge, two days to go, with my "Color my World" series of colorful images.....

Picture taken at a local park, processed for HDR. Thanks for all of your wonderful/useful comments! I've enjoyed this last month and I hope to see all of your coming images! Everyone has been absolutely incredible! |

Matters of the Heart
I created this image and then went hunting for a poem. Found several, two of which were compelling and very different from each other. Go with whichever one speaks to you. |

My mother has very advanced colon/lung/liver cancer and I've been flying back and forth between California and Seattle, WA. I have truly enjoyed everyone's work and will try to comment as much as possible in the next couple of days. |

Day 29
All Creatures Great and Small
I missed a couple of days -- in a sad twist of fate, after I posted my last picture of my "baby" Lacey, I thought she was trying to tell us it was time to go :( She quit eating or drinking, and just wanted to stay on her blanket. I've spent a few days with tooooo many tears to take pictures. But, last night, when I got home, she was out in the back yard and started barking to come in when she knew I was home. She ate. She drank. And she followed us around and acted like her old self again -- even begging for snacks when we ate. I'm hopeful that maybe she just had a bug or something, and we still have lots more time with her. I would be happy for a few prayers for my oh-so-beloved creature.
Anyway, I didn't wander too far today for lunch, so sorry for another goose picture, but it was all I could do today.

Oh Penny! I'm so sorry for what you have been dealing with with your mom. This needs to be the last thing you have the slightest worry about. I will pray for you and for your mom.

Guys - I'm thinking of setting up another Creative Choice Month for May.
I've just LOVED getting my Mojo back this month - the discipline of daily images really works for me and I don't want to let it go.
So IF you're up for another side challenge - start thinking about your new subject matter - I'm thinking of doing a month of 'backs'. |
