Okay look lets face it some of us cant afford to go out and get lights for a studio. What I would like to have us do is post a pic or two using inexpensive lighting setups. Say not more than 50 dollars? Post your thumbnail, the setup, What did you do in post production, and the overall price.
SETUP
Two 4 foot florescent shop lights with 6200k lightbulbs hanging vertically five feet apart, four feet in front of me, at a 45 degree angle.
POST PRODUCTION
Levels thats is oh and cloned out a zit.... so sue me!
COST
total cost 30 dollars yay walmart!
I am saving for a real kit but these actually have given some great results honestly They dont stop motion though obviously but I can shoot at f4 100iso and 125th shots.

do they have to be taken in a studio?
sunlight is probably the cheapest source you can find...
though i tried the home depot/walmart options myself - i ended up getting speedlights.

Yes it is the cheapest! I want a set of alien bee 800s with the big ol softbox I was actually trying to focus moer on interior lighting because some people are interested in dabbling into it but don't know what they can do. |

Natural light, taken in the room I often use as a studio and where I often set up those expensive lights. :-P The only thing used here is a reflector, probably about $50.

well for DIY tips and the like this is a great resource focused on keeping it CHEAP. well for the most part... alot of talk about speedlights - but also a lot of stuff about homedepot, cardboard, and the like for cheap options.
