Sheesh, I've really been a slacker about this lately. Free Study entries are up in our result thread. Congrats to  basssman7 for the top score!

my pic in free study was blah. I thought I was selling out and only got a 5.1. but the other pictures were great! And I gave ribbons to TWO team suckers, xianart and krnodil! They both drove me mad with their photos. You can tell by my comments.

| My goal, and I'm really quite sure I can achieve it, is to never break 6 in a Free Study. It seems what I like and what DPC likes are not compatible. |

Wow, you two are kicking my butt! I will have to work on cathing up next month. I see Bear_Music is ahead of me as well...lots of TS'rs doing well in the FS marathon. :) Go TS Go!

I will say that most of those surprised me, particularly the first one. I honestly thought it was too "quiet" for DPC. The version I have of it is a bit less processed (the one that I use as a desktop from time to time.) And the one from the air, to me, is overprocessed, but hey, it worked! And it's grown on me, a little. I actually prefer it in monochrome. All of them strike me as "too busy" for what normally does well scorewise. I have tried to "simplify" but I just can't seem to do it - it's just not in my nature.
I'm very pleased with the comments on my Free Studies this year. May not have made it to 6, but I'm happy with the shots I've entered just the same.

How are your poetry skills? And fear not, mine suck, and they still let me hang out. You need to petition the Fearless Leader (only briefly in exile) with your request to join Team Suck, and he will give you a mission. You also need to read the first post of this thread for the required disclaimers and such. |

Um..those pics were from Deb's previous entries. (quickly sends back to her bottle of booze.  )
ETA: yay....we are getting freezing rain right now! It is -7C and we are getting rain. It beats the heck out of stuff you have to shovel so bring it on.
I hear that snaffles area is still supposed to get it all as snow though...sorry.

And oh yeah we are getting the white stuff up the wazoo. 35 cm already and it's still coming...could well be another foot by the time it's done...thank gawd my laneway guy does it with a tractor/snowplow attachment...bad enough I have to find my car and dig it out! |

Well, I sold a $90 cd of edited images to the lovely frowning lady, lol. In celebration, I've ordered myself a used lens from Adorama. In about a week (if I've figured it out right), I'll be the proud owner of a Sigma 75-300 4/5.6 Mac Af F/eos. (Actually I ordered it before I found out about the order, but who cares, lol!)

My lowest score on my profile page is 6.3889, yet I can't break 6 in a Free Study on a bet! LOL!!!
