This may be a dumb question, but I'm new so I at least I should get a few. Does the January FREE Study have to have a New Year's theme or can you submit any style of photo? The details of the challenge says Happy New Year - but the archives I've looked at haven't had a theme. Thanks. |

It is an open challenge in that there is no fixed subject. I think I asked the same question when I joined, too! |

Yes you're free to shoot whatever you like (within the editing rules obviously) I gues the "Happy New Year" comes from the fact the challenge was posted on New Year's Day. |

to the sc or anyone who knows ..
i've just processed something for the january free study ..
i went to submit and notice that you've got (time lapse) in the title ..
is that just a reference to the new rules ie. that ppl can use multiple exposures to capture the movement of an object OR that it is actually a time lapse challenge ??
and maybe it should be made more clear in the challenge title .. ??..:)
edit .. oh .. i've just read a couple of these posts and it says there's no subject & just do whatever you want .. i still think that having time lapse in the title/rules, even tho its in brackets, is a bit confusing .. :)
