Guess they didn't expect that a few decades later each day thousands of tourists would take those fun pics of the Eiffel tower with their cheap digital cameras. ;-)
For some of the weirder ones an explanation would be nice... |

The second nuclear explosion shot is the Upshot-Knothole Grable test. It was a unique fireball.
