BTW, do we get extra credit if we take a portrait of a clown with spectacles?

In honor of our first round, I think the loser for January should have a choice.

4.1538 huh, I think you may be a little behind... Mine just reached 5.5 which is graet considering I am the model and this is really my first real attempt at a portrait. There's another challenge coming up who knows. Good luck. |

My clown is taking a beating (~5.3), perhaps because I focused my energy on the time lapse challenge for the Death Match during the past week. So I will have to look for yellow abandoned buildings this week. But I first have to get a good river/stream shot for the Death Match. Eventually the Death Match will spit me out (perhaps even this week), so then I will be able to concentrate on the Great '08 Motivate Debate. In the meantime,  Budya, you can get a jump on me. Did you enter anything in clowns/spectacles this past week? |

I did not do clown or portrait either, I was not motivated enough by either one. I will go out the weekend to look for abandoned buildings, but if that fails I have something for yellow to fall back on.
PS. did you see my fire entry? I was so upset that was not going to be included in this contest.

Twelfth place and a very solid score! Congrats on the shot! I was going to do a glasses SP, then I thought I would do a clown SP. Then I thought if I did a glasses SP, then it would be a clown wearing glasses, then I wasn't sure which challenge it would fall under so ultimately I was so confused, I just didn't get anything entered.
Off to search for abandoned buildings this weekend though! So have you decided on your punishment yet Johnna? |

Yep, I am in the clowns as well. So far, so good -- looks like my top 5 will be changing. I did get my very first validation request but have not done anything to get disqualified (as far as I know). I am thinking of the all things yellow now, although not sure if I'll have the time for it this week. :) |

Good for you! Hopefully you are talking about the low end of your top 5, and not about a PB. The downside is that you will have a clown in your top 5, which might scare off a lot of people who go to visit your profile. |

hey jen, haven't heard from ya. are you still up for this game?
I'm not much for smack talk or too competitive really but this is a
motivational challenge and that's what i need. And proof is that I didn't even
get anything in this week. I'm looking forward to doing something for the next
one though.
btw I love your "Storm Damage" shot.

Yep, I'm still in. I'm not that good at talking smack either. I have a clown image in and it is bouncing between a 6.65 and 6.7.

Yea, well after seeing that score, I'm not. :) :) :)
You shoot great buildings and stuff. The shots you had in one of the side challenges (textures? where you live? slice of life?) were awesome!
Hope i can get my game on. :) |

That would probably be texture, that and abandoned building seems to be my favorite subject. You have me beat all to hell with macros though. This should be fun. Do not be too hard on me if you win. |
