What a pity I can't use a work photo for this. But that would be cheating anyway.

So why is this potrait challlenge limited to human beings? Other potraits (I think Natrualr Light Portrait was the most recent) have allowed animal portraits. And I think there are some really good ones on this site.

So will the next portrait challenge tell us exactly where the crop must be? ("not lower than the collarbone, but above the armpits")

{Sorry, I woke up in a bad mood today, lol)

Sounds like photographing human beings, for a change, might be more of a "challenge". DPChallenge???

Bring it on! :-)

Daft question. I apologise in advance for starting the can of worms lol.

Should the portrait be posed or can it be candid? Does anyone feel those terms are mutually exclusive? Or would any photo with 3 or more ppl in meet the challenge?

I don't think "Posed" is necessary, but Portrait and Candid are 2 diff words for a reason. ;)

Any guesses on how many of the submissions for this challenge do not have 3 or more HUMAN BEINGS in the portrait? I'm sure some will push the envelope.

I think candid is a subset of portrait *looks at his DPC Venn diagram*
