I like mine a lot. Put the aperture at 8 to 11 and you'll get a nice, sharp shot from edge to edge. It's my funnest lens. ;-)

You can even get a photo with it while taunting your mother-in-law with a slice of pepperoni! ;-)

Is this lens only suited to cropped sensor cameras?

It's a great lens. But don't let it fall on the floor... my camera fell today and the lens' body cracked.

Photos of Rome with Sigma 10-20.

"10-20mm F4-5.6 EX DC HSM lens allows enjoyment of super wide-angle photography and it is a very powerful tool for indoor shooting and landscape photography with APS-C size image sensors of digital SLR cameras."

He means its for cropped sensors only.. ie, not the 5D or the EOS 1D series of cameras.

To give a fuller answer, it's designed for cropped sensor cameras. However, unlike Canon EF-S lenses it can be mounted on full frame cameras without damaging them, you'll just likely get severe vignetting since the image circle won't match the size of the sensor.

I believe Ken Rockwell described how well the usual UW suspects worked on full frame in his roundup of them.

DPC has a great feature to search for pictures by lense.

Here are the shots taken with the Sigma 10-20 for Nikon:

I have this lense and have been very happy with it. Great perspectives and really sharp.

How do you navigate to that view? I can't seem to find it.

I, too, love this lens. My 5th and 6th-highest shots are with it, as well as my most recent:

Very versatile considering the wideness/width - the best is when you get right in someone's face ... you can be a "close talker / close shooter and get good results - I think you can focus up to 5 or 6 inches away: A snap shot becomes something else OOPS ... almost forgot this one! (you can also be far away :P)

I love wide angle lenses. Personally, it is my lense of choice when shooting. Here is a couple of shots Ive taken with a wide angle lense:

I knew about that and did it, but when I get to the lens, it shows me a picture of the lens and only the top 15 scoring shots below it:
Page for this lens

Now, after 15 months here, I finally noticed that the word "Browse" over the list of pictures isn't a title of the list, but rather a clickable word.

Stupid black non-underlined link ... grrrr ...
