Gone Baby Gone 6/10 - Lots of twists and turns kept it interesting. I think they took the big book of Boston slang, ran it through a shredder and then sprinkled all the pieces throughout the script. I knocked points off because it had what I hate most: Character inconsistency.

The Hangover 11/10

This is the most engaging, bizarre raw humor movie I've ever seen. The story just twists and turns, and just about the time you think you've seen it all, something else comes out of left field.

A stone hoot!

Could not agree more. I was rolling laughing in the theater!

Yes Man 5/10.

Had it's funny times but mostly fell short due to predictability. If you want to see a good Jim Carey movie that has close to the same premise and is a lot funnier rent Liar, Liar.

Marley and Me - 5/10

Read the book, loved it cause it was about the dog. However, I feel they ruined the story by making it into a relationship movie. I like Owen Wilson well enough, but Jennifer Aniston....eewwwww.

The dog, or should I say all 22 dogs that played Marley, were good though. And even I cried at the end.

Requiem for a Heavyweight - 1962

A great film, timeless and well acted.

I'm in complete agreement. I laughed so hard, my stomach hurt. I need to see it again cause I'm sure I missed a ton of jokes since I was laughing.

Loved it when Phil was singing and the chicken was on the piano. ROFL

Underworld: Rise of the Lycans

AGREED hysterical but I'm going with 8.8/10 for a few missed notes... unlike, say, wedding crashers... still an awesome comedy

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

6/10 yeah it's a good action movie, but not much different from the first one. Also was really cheesy in the beginning but then improved. It also didn't have as good of a plot as the first one either. Love the parents cuz they're hysterical, but other than that, it left a bit to be desired.

Hellboy II: The Golden Army 0/10 - Yes, ZERO. Sorry, I enjoyed the first Hellboy and some other campy movies like it, but this was a campy comic that pretended to be Lord of the Rings in the second half. I pleaded with my TV throughout for just one redeeming scene that would make me feel ok that I spent the time watching it. But no. I almost never hate a movie this much. I rented two movies this weekend - the other one was "The International" which my 16 yr old son said he heard was not that good so he opted to watch Hellboy II with me instead. Needless to say, he's grounded. ;-) I almost declared this the WORST MOVIE I'VE SEEN ALL YEAR, but then I remembered Mamma Mia, so this is the second worst.

0 ? Whenever I see a movie with such great production and no CGI I can't help but appreciate it. THe story was nothing great, unless your a nerd like I am...I mean, the sets in this movie were phenomenal; and the fight scenes were very well choreographed.

I just saw "Scanners" 1981- 5/10 Bad acting, but creepyy!

Actually, I'd personally give this 3/10 for loads of eye-catching, pointless action, lack of plot, witty human characters who interact with boring and stilted dialogue from the transformers, extreme length, extended scenes of slow-motion walking/action, and the general lack of strong driving plot points that make movies like Iron Man or even the original Transformers watchable.

New In Town
3/10

It just didn't impress me. It followed all of the romantic comedy rules but... bleck. Maybe I'm just not a Renee Z fan?

"SEVEN POUNDS"

starring Will Smith, Rosario Dawson, Woody Harrelson.

I have to give this a 7/10, probably over-rating it, but Will Smith was pretty good in this movie, even though it was predictable, with hardly any climax.

The Proposal (7/10)

It was really quite funny, and besides, I adore Ryan Reynolds. Sandra Bullock looked a tad bit older and was pretty much herself as she is in all her movies, but he stole the show...him and Betty White. Great chick flick or date movie. I saw it on a girl's night out with some friends and we were sufficiently entertained.

I agree, it wasn't scary at all, but good psychological thriller. Did you think it was the whiskey that caused it all? Possibly spiked...

think the original story (printed form, although short) was more freaky (maybe its my imagination, hehe)

Hangover-- saw it tonight at the theater.

7-10..

Really bizzare story line- quite a few funny moments-- actually laughed the hardest during the credits--

Just not a 10/10 for me.

I enjoyed step brothers much more.
