Well, voting didn't stop and hopefully it will continue but with those higher votes I was getting in the beginning. I woke up to a significant drop, but 7 wonderful comments.

Thanks (and drat! lol) - That's the shot I wanted for Rolling Stones (Bright Lights, Big City), but the weather that week was foggy, hazy, and or rainy. Last Friday was clear and cool (actually cold for summer). So off I went w/ my tripod. lol

I guess mines not saturated enough (according to a couple of voters). :) Too much color, not enough color, just can't win sometimes, eh? :P

Now, if you win a ribbon, that would be the story of the year :P

LOL...no chance there! I'm just grateful that people are recognizing my mistake and being EXTREMELY kind in their comments by refraining from voting it a 1 with a DNMC comment right now!

I'm not going to self-DQ it, just let it ride and take the "knocks" and continue feeling like a MORON! :(

Don't bother as it would count as a self DQ (I think). In any event, you may be surprised by the score.

Ray

Thanks Ray! I'm gonna let it sit and just beat myself up for awhile.

Right, Ray. The same scene happens in hick towns too, if it is the image that I suspect that it is.

I'm not doing as well as my first dozen or so, but I've bounced back a little from the early morning trolls.

With the start that you both reported I thought you were going to be way ahead of me. I’m proud to be running neck-in-neck with you now. This will be my 2nd best ever if it holds close to this scoreâ€Â¦

This is gonna be a yo-yo score week, isn't it?

Started ~5.5 down to 5.3, now:

Votes: 54
Views: 74
Avg Vote: 5.6852

So it looks like hyper-saturation (and remembering to sharpen after resizing) will help my average. lol

(But I have to add that I'm getting kind of tired of white trees...)

Oof, just got a 1. I hate it when that happens! Interestingly I got a 1 20 minutes earlier in the free study.

Conspiracy theorists unite! A troll lurks.

I just finished voting on the rural challenge (I didn't enter this one). While there were a number of very solid and very well done photos, I was quite surprised at the number of images that were not well processed - noise issues, strange oversaturated colors and the like.

Thank you for taking time to vote. : )

A little disappointed after my voting....seems alot of people just took outdoor photos and snuck them into "rural landscapes." Also, seems people are getting into over-processing their entries. I don't know....maybe I'm becoming too cynical. There are a handful of great captures, tho! I, myself, am disappointed (as par the course) in my own score in this challenge. I'm floating in the 5.4 range....ugg! :(
