| Yeah, if you're looking for a longer lens and you don't have a lot of money to spend, check out the Sigma 70-300mm APO DG Macro. As Gina says, it's fairly heavy, but it produces good images and it's tough to beat for 200 bucks. My only dislike is that the focus is fairly slow moving. |

I have to agree that one is pretty good, I did originally purchase one but returned it because the zoom was really stiff which if my arthritis flares up then its hard for me to use so I went with the Canon 70-300IS lens...

thanks everybody! sorry i haven't been able to post back. life has been hectic lately, so i don't find myself spending much time online. i doubt i'll be able to buy anything yet, as i just spent about half of my dough on the rebel itself. when i get better adjusted to the rebel, i'll start looking into other lenses. until then, thanks again, and feel free to keep posting so anyone else who joins our rebel clan may have the same sort of help as me. bye :)
