Day 28 - Cosmos

Kind of wishing I had removed the green stuff on the left after looking at this on screen. May do that later and replace the image but I'm pleased with how the white bloom came out.
Went back and burned out the green stuff and I like it better with the background cleaned up.

Something like this? Neat Image for smoothness and glow, cloning, select center and bump sat a smidge.

REALLY nice light on that shot.

I like what you did with the center of the flower...selectively bumping the saturation made it pop :) ..but I like the pure white of the petals on my take. On your re-do a yellowish tinge is on the petal edges. Now...I just need to figure out how to do selective saturation. I'm slowly getting the hang of things but there is definitely a steep learning curve on CS2! Was it the "Neat Image" that made the texture change on the petals? Made them almost look porcelain. I like the effect.
Thanks...Eve

Yes, the Neat Image is responsible for the smooth look and the glow. The fringing is an artifact of that. It can be eliminated with more careful work, but the thing of it is, it wouldn't be a problem at all working from the full-size original; the small web version is much coarser, so fringing really becomes a major issue.
