Hard for me to pick just five.

This is a cross made out of steel beams at Ground Zero in NYC. Very emotional to me.

Rainy day on the Grand Canyon

I think this was my favorite challenge entry to date. I just love carousel horses and I was pleased with how this photo turned out.

Mission San Xavier Del Bac outside Tucson. Just something peaceful and calming about this photo to me.

I just love this shot - I found this rock balanced on top of the cactus by a previous visitor and thought it was just too cool to pass up.

<- A rare moment of being in the right place at the right time.

<- A number from this series really move me, but the mood in this speaks to me. (or is that sings?)

<- A true candid, and perhaps my all-time favorite. (30+ yrs shooting)

<- What can I say? No matter how crappy of a day, this puts a smile on my face.

<- Another true candid, with a deep emotion and soul flowing from it.

What's perhaps the most interesting thing in this thread is the colors / tones that speak to each person.

My only ribbon winner, but not DPC

My best selling print, by far

Mine look very basic, almost cartoonish compared to you guys...

(strange... I purposefully avoided images of my own daughters, yet decided on the above.)

Looks like its time for an escape!

Alas! The mystery of a faceless portrait.
The tones! I love the tones on this one.
A headless portrait. Even better! ;)
A priceless location in my opinion.
No masks, raw human. No pretending.

Was a beautiful moment..

She's strugling against cancer now,
but I think this photo's shows her real me.

Thought this one was pretty surreal looking.

Selfportrait.

I love this one because of the beauty of the architecture.

This is my favorite picture of my three sons together...it's much more artsy than anything I usually do.

This was my blue ribbon, but it's so much more to me than that...it's such a sweet moment between my youngest two.

I have never really figured out what I love about this shot, but the sheer nostalgia of it makes me happy when I look at it.

This is a shot I nearly deleted because of the tongue...but the more I looked at it, the more I laughed. It grew on me and is now a sure favorite of mine because of the humor, as well as the color and clarity I got from my old 75-300 IS USM lens.
