I'll probably get a few DNMC comments, but then again, you can't please everyone. To me, this exhibits "progress" on so many levels. There is the literal progression of the formation of life as well as the humbling knowledge that no matter how advanced our society becomes, we are nothing without this small miracle. This is progress in it's most raw and pure form... without it we die.

A very special thanks to my beautiful model and friend for posing for these images. This is one of an entire series of images we shot over two separate sessions. These images were very difficult for her to pose for initially, but she gradually became more confident as she began to see what I was trying to achieve. There is nothing more beautiful, feminine, or radiant than a woman who is about to become a mother. I hope that I was able to capture this beauty in a way that others can appreciate also.

Post-Challenge
WOW!!! 6th place. I'm very happy with this result, thanks to all who enjoyed this image as much as I do.

Come on! My son might see this sort of thing! (He still think babies come from the stork.) As a topic theme it fits.

WOW this is an amazing shot! Not much in the way of change / suggestions I could make here. You've nailed this one my friend, congrats on a beautiful portrait that you and the mother to be should be VERY proud of. 10 from me.

I think this could only be improved by editing out her other "cheek". Other than that, I love the lighting and can't BELIEVE how big she is!
