Wait - scalvert did too - guess that officially made it cool.

PP gimmicks & over edits, especially intentional ones DON'T do well here.

I still like this one! :p

For another data point, I believe my shot in Pure is on the upper edge of acceptability - just this side of the line, IMO. But I guess you'll have to wait a week to find out what I mean... =)

In the mean time, check out PPChallenge. Starting tomorrow - there should be some good portrait edits to vote on.

smurfguy I forgot my password to you site and have requested by email several times but have not received a response. Am I able to participate anymore? What should I do?

Hi Scott,

My site has a problem with usernames changing. Ask Brad - he still goes by BradP on that site. It's a deficiency that I have to work out which I simply don't have time to do.

I see that both SouthernGentleman and swhiddon are in the database, but it's likely that SouthernGentleman is where your old entries are. PM me the password you'd like to start with, and you can change it when you log in.

Cheers,
-Jeff

Hey, I still think it's cool. it *is* rather "non-photographic" and so it probably took a hit for that. I found it very well done, and gave it a six.

ETA: This is a case where the editing *does* take center stage, and yet is well-done and works for the subject matter, yielding a very attractive result.

No sh*t. I learned my lesson, after *thinking* that overediting seemed to do well here:

That little experiment cured me of that notion, and almost won me an unexpected brown ribbon to boot!
