Thank you all for the well wishes. I'm happy ... and looking forward to getting back to work. It took me 14 years to get a job I really like and I sure don't want to lose it.
For those who asked and so others don't have to ...
On Feb. 20 I went to Alexandria VA for a 2-day class (for work). Of course, I took my camera. And even made arrangements to meet two other DPCers for the first time, and take photos of some of the monuments at night.
They picked me up at the local metro, we went to the Iwo Jima Memorial ... I took about 6 shots, went to walk around the tripod, hit ice or water and went down.
Jeffrey and Dave took good care of me. Jeffrey even followed the ambulance to the hospital and stayed with me until my son arrived.
Long story short ... broken tibia, fibula, and compressed tibial plateau. 2 1/2 weeks and one surgery in Arlington. Long ambulance ride home to NJ and another surgery.
NOTICE ... photography can be dangerous to ones health!!!
Good news is that I'm up and about and ready to get back to normal

| Jeanne sorry to hear about your accident. It's great your feeling better and getting back to work. I know it's hard to get the job one loves and the thought of losing it can be unbearable. john |

Back to macros, getting ever smaller. My lens only focuses to about 18 inches, so I have to crop a lot to get this. I'm using a tripod now, because any movement is greatly increased on a crop.
