 This is a hair clip. Ordinary except that between my daughter and myself, we're always losing them and can never find one when we want it, so this is actually quite a valuable item.

I knew exactly what this object was. I have the exact same one in my hair. Invaluable, indeed. Nice image of such an ordinary, everday kinda object. Oddly one of my favorite things to grab in a hurry!

Would have taken me a while to figure out this object since it's from a different angle than I'm used to seeing them. Nice contrast with the black... and the other folks are right.. it almost looks like floating glass!

This is really neat, the black is deep and the plastic really stands out. Normally I think plastic is an ugly substance for photographs but here it looks more like glass.
