Hi guys! Guess what? I got paid! It was a tricky thing, she tried to hide from me, then gave me a bad check, but in the end I got my money! Hooray for me!

Also, I put in for a username change to Kelli. Someone else currently has it but never used it. No challenges entered, no votes, no comments, etc. If not that then I requested just kds. I'd like to drop the prog since I'm no longer a programmer and don't plan to ever be again. I'll let you know when/if it goes through.

A Pennsylvania State Representative was announcing his candidancy for Philadelphia mayor. Having my camera out, I start taking photographs. This guy comes over to give me a grief about it. He asks me about being with the press and tells me that all the people in audience have signed a release to have their photographs published as if I would need to do that also. I told him I was just walking by and was a casual photographer and didn't see any reason to have any signed releases in a public place so he backed off.

That's funny! Who was it?

Kelli, what kind of programmer were you? I use COBOL and RPG. The languages from the middle-ages.

Well, it was a company derived IDE with a proprietary language. It looked closest to VB with some java scripting thrown in. Now no one wants me since I haven't worked in an "official" language in over 6 years.

I seem to be in a bit of a challenge slump at the moment. I choose to blame it on the weather. But really I am just not being inspired by the challenge topics. I'm quite suprised to see School Days: back in there as this caused no end of contention last time with the DNMC crowd.

Military service is voluntary now, but I'm from a generation when they had this thing called a draft, and like jury duty, people would dodge it.

And as for the speeding ticket, the whole point is that it's generally thought of as privilege, not a right, and my feeling on that is that it's part of the way that things go.......generally by nature of this busy world, people driving flout the rules, and occasionally it catches up with them. Rather than make a huge issue from it, I take it like a grownup, deal with it sensibly, and pay my fine rather than tying up court time trying to beat it on a technicality.

I did not say or infer in any way that going to jail is a duty and an obligation......that's completely absurd.

Ya know, I'd really appreciate it if you wouldn't make unpleasant references like that which are not only a reach contextually, but also as an adjunct of my personality and attitude.

I've already taken your suggestion to read more and post less. If you don't want me to offer any opinions at all, just say so, don't just make comments like this.

I'm not quite sure what it is that bugs you about me, but it seems to me that it must be something because you have never been so much as passingly pleasant to me. I cannot do anything about the way you feel about me, but I'd really appreciate not being the butt of your barbed comments. I have tried to comment less and avoid directing any towards you at all.

What more can I do?

I had just stopped by to post a pic of my little girl's dog.....if anyone wants to see it, it's in my portfolio in the "Where I Live" folder.

Yeah she nailed the aristocratic attitude in this photo. Man! the seemingly natural talent this woman has as a photographer AND model is astounding.

Stay tuned. I am sure we are going to see more and even greater things from Svetlana.

I'll tell you what Jeb, that young lady is going places. Her talent is extraordinary.

Also, I don't mind your posts at all. I'm from your era also and I can relate to many of the things you say. Ahhh, the joys of getting older.

Dear NikonJeb,

I'm not going to clutter this thread with a back-and-forth with you. Suffice it to say that my comment was purely reacting to what I thought was a logical flaw in what you said. No offense intended.

I'm sorry if you think I don't interact with you enough. I have trouble keeping up with Team Suck these days, since I can't play at work. When I have tried interacting with you, I get flooded with additional questions, jokes, whatever. It just takes up too much time that I don't have.

As to my "barbed comments", I'm sorry you feel that way about them. I will show more restraint with you in future.

Team Suck is an open, supportive community. There's no need to resolve anything with the Silverback before you can participate. Just enjoy yourself and ignore me. I'll make that easier for you in the future.

Now kids, if you can't play nice, you'll go to your room without supper! (And if I'm cooking, that's probably a good thing.)

We now return you to your regularly scheduled program. I've about veggied/fruit'd myself out - even bought stuff I normally don't eat. But I WILL have an entry. I figure it's good for about a 5.3. Who else is in?
