This was going to be one of my entries for this side challenge, but it was too good to pass up for the Street Photography challenge.

Day 26 Springfield, MO
I thought I would give some general information about Springfield. It was incorporated in 1829, and is the 3rd largest city in Missouri, with a population of 151,000 within the city limits and 385,000 in the metro area (as of the 2000 census). Springield public schools are eductiing about 24,000 kids and there are 3 major universities and one two-year college. We are part of the "Bible Belt", so there are many churches throughout the city. The city's history includes Wild Bill Hicock, a Civil War battle fought nearby, and the "Birthplace of Route 66". There are hundreds of restaurants, one mall, and many shopping opportunities, including almost every national chain store. It has retained its small town feel (so far) with most of the big city conveniences. |

| I am way behind on comments and daily photos as I have been working and generally busy. I will try to put something up tonite if I have time. But unlike my 30 day SP, which I ran out of gas in right about now, I will plug away at this one until I have a complete 30 photo set :). I miss seeing all your photos, keep going everyone! |

Day 26
I went out to take pictures after work. I got some nice ones downtown (or so I thought). When I got home they were all too blurry. So I decided to use one from yesterday. Today all that snow has largely melted. |

Yesterday I went to see Body Worlds (and you can't take PHOTOS! - I thought I would have a aneurism). Also I was there with a group of friends and everyone had an agenda, so in general I didn't get to take photos like I wanted. However, here are a couple of yesterday's outing. More description with the actual photos.
And check out Body Worlds. If it comes to your city, run, don't walk to see it. And now - the photos not of Body Worlds - hahaha.

I shot these at ISO 800 to stop camera shake, but it was a rather long shot into an overcast sky, so it isn't very tidy. In my personal experience, I have found that the shutter speed gain from the higher ISO more than equals the loss from grain with long lenses when hand holding. This is about 1/16 of the orij images. I was parked on the road side, and about 100 ft or 30 meters from them.
Here's the orij for the second one.
Oh well, some days you just can't get the great ones, but at least I have something for today.

Really, I wonder about that too, usually if I have something with a few views I'll hide it quickly and then think about it. But some of my best shots I would think of using have quite a few views.

Well, I feel like I've been skating on the edges of this challenge. I am doing fancy math to get it to add up to 30 days, and my postings come in clots rather than the one-a-day regimen. And they're really more "how you live" than strictly "where you live". Sigh.

DAY 28 ..
AUSTRALIA. NSW. PICTON ..
i went to dentist today .. i travel nearly two hours to go to mona vale from picton coz i know the dentist ... crazy eh? ...
anyway it's just beautiful where i live now after the rain .. the grass is actually green ... just about too green!!! .... spose coz i'm not used to it ...
i keep wanting to stop all the time AND TAKE PHOTOGRAPHS !!! ...
anyway i took this shot coming home from the dentist, its about 10km from picton ..
