I am occaisionally surprised by the voting in site challenges, sometimes for the better and sometimes not.
I must admit that I thought that my entry for the recent Pink Floyd challenge would have done better than 46th place...

Interested on feedback on why this 'bombed'

Thanks

6.0 is far from a 'bomb'.

Nice colors, but it's a frik'n rubber ducky man! Rubber Ducky or wooden model dude = 1

I think one thing that may have hurt you is changing the title to fit your pick. duck side instead of dark side. I didnt vote in this challenge but one DPCer complained to me about a title tweak like yours. may have been yours specifically. I dont know. but I know it was a sore spot for at least one DPCer so maybe for more.

Thanks....

Regarding the title.... I changed my mind a couple of times about using the pun in the title..
I originally just called it 'Any Colour you like' which fits both the challenge and the pick...

Good point... I guess it doesn't pay to try and be clever!

Another mitigating factor is it seems there are some dpc voters don't like centered compositions in general, except if that's what the Challenge calls for. ;>þ

I could not agree more! Duckies and Woodies are almost as overdone as bi-color glass reflection shots.

Yeah. Fat little fingers type faster than the fat little head thinks.

any mark above 6 is far from a bomb!
I think the fact that this had nothing to do with the floyd, apart from the pun in the title, it scored a tad lower than you expected.

Oops! Thought this was the "underrated" thread for everyone. Sorry...move along. :D Post moved here.

Hell, I wouldn't have expected more than a mid-5 from a ducky shot. That says a lot about the technicals of this shot that it made it into the 6's.

Thanks for the feedback... 'Any Colour you like' is a Pink Floyd track from arguably their best ever and most well known album Dark Side of the Moon....

I think the pun may have caused voters to miss this... and of course the use of the duck...
