Yay! Episode 5 of DPC Podcast is almost ready for publishing TONIGHT!
It's broken down into two parts:
Part 1 covers last weeks winners, Picky Voters (are they too critical?), WPL3 New Season Starts, and also Voting on Photos which you have seen before or know the photographer.
Part 2 covers Low Voting on people you don't like, Where's Rikki Now, Critique Club (John Setzler), and Artistic vs Technical critiques - what do we want from our Critique Club?

I'm compiling episode 5 right now and should be ready in about an hour to host somewhere. We had a backup site at one point but I lost the information...

I am glad to see the podcast back. I was wondering where it went. I enjoyed listening to it. BTW what is the link, the one in the community projects is broken.

yeah, essentially I just need a place to host the file though I am have a little technical difficulty with compiling the first part...Each file will be about 25 MB in size

Ok, part 1 of 2 is ready to be hosted to a website if someone has a place where I can upload the mp3 file and provide a link to it.

For some reason I have a 5MB file instead of a 25 MB file as I expected but it's all there and the sound quality is good...hmmmm...anyone have space and badnwidth to host that?

Ok, I'm heading to bed for the night but two files have been uploaded to thegrandwazoo and also emailed to MK. I'm hoping one of them will stay up later than me and provide links to the files. These podcasts are almost dated the moment they come out. This show has less thrills and frills (music interludes etc) but hopefully it will still be entertainment. Right now I want to focus on getting the podcast regular and I'll work on improving the format as we go. Thanks again for everyone's help!

Got them.. now if I could just sort out what my iTunes did with them.. can't find them in there at all... Does anyone know what iTunes sees these files as?

Ok, the official "Unofficial DPC Podcast" site is back up and the files are hosted at their permenant home at:

Thanks so much to everyone who helped bail us out with alternative locations last night. The above link should include not only both files but rss feeds to both for those with podcatcher software who want to subscribe to the show. The files can be streamed from the site as an mp3 file without need of special software. As always, please provide feedback so we know what to improve upon or keep doing.

I'm still looking for any sort of feedback on the podcast yesterday. It appears people are listening to the show but I'm not sure if it was a good or bad show. What do you think?

HI,
I listened to both segments. I think you and your co-host did a good job. The WPL thing was ok but I hope to be interviewed one day about the WPL. Kind of explain what it is and why people have a love/hate relation with it. I felt both of you covered it well along with all subject.
Glad to see the podcast back. Good Job! |

| Southern Gentleman, I did think the exact thing you suggested...that YOU should have been on the show to talk about WPL. So here are the two options. I can hook up with you for an interview one on one any time during this week and we can air it next week or you can plan to join L2 and I for next Sunday's podcast and be one of the hosts and talk about it then. Which would you like? |

I still can't get it thru itunes and I can't figure out where my Itunes put the one I downloaded. How do I find it in my itunes library after I copy it over there?

A suggestion....alternate the guest speakers...otherwise it becomes simply a chat between two people with the same opinions each week. Add some variety by changing the speakers. Keeping yourself as the main speaker works as you can direct the course of the discussion though.
Some valid points were made in your podcast...but there were others that need a bit more homework.
Other than that...well done lkn4truth.
