6.6 is safely in the 6 range, and will probably finish higher! Great job!

it seems for every 0.1 my free study gets , my centered composition slides 0.1.

i am still waiting for pics for the WPL cards, i am probably going to work on the cards this weekend.

You have the 6 for sure. No worries about the cards, although they would make it feel more like a team.

Nice photo Kteach. Hope you still have over the 6 bmartuch. My free study and centered are staying at 5.9 an 5.39 respectively. Trying desperately to learn the camera before WPL starts.

sorry guys have not had time to work on them yet:( my phd qualifier exam is on thursday and friday , after that i 'll work on the cards, nevertheless if anyone has ideas for a logo and has time to work on it, that will be great.

i am doing my best to keep submitting, my centered composition did not do that well. it's a 5.49, i have 2 submissions best of 2006, and black and white portrait.

PS: for those of you who wants to practice post processing i recoment the PPchalenge it's pretty cool.

Nice job on that Bob. I liked the depth of the photo. Congrats on your new personal best! My centered comp stopped at 5.9. I really need to learn this camera better. I entered best of 06 but that photo was taken with my old olympus point and shoot. Hassan Reached a new personal best too! Nice job guys! I also liked Kteach's Dart board photo!

I am in a big slump. I need to find some locations that inspire me before the contest starts. Right now everything around me just seems blah.

same problem here , i am looking for a new spot for my free study shot, i don't know if i can be lucky and get another butterfly shot:)

i submitted a pic in the black and white portrait it's doing good so far a 6 if i can maintain it , it will be my first 6 in a challenge that is not a free study. i am hoping i can continue my streak of good shots once the WPL starts.

neophyte i loved your shot in centered composition , i was surprised it did not score higher, if you have any questions regarding the D50 don't hesitate to ask :)

i always wanted to do a dart board shot but never had the chance to, i thought the perspective on kteah pi was great.

well it seems we have a good unit ready to go for the wpl, i hope to hear more from brielle and hsolakidis

Hi all. I entered the song challenge last week. 5.3 atm. Good, not great. Oh well, it's all practice.

Zaflabout, I haven't forgot the pic you asked for. I'm just a little camera shy :) You 'll have it in the next couple of days.

We both seem to shoot a wide variety of subjects. Personally I don't want to limit myself to a niche but sometimes its hard to come up with new perspectives. I seem to get a photo like my centered comp entry in my head and then try to go out and put it on film so to speak. (I shouldn't have cropped it so much.)

If I were where you are Boomtap, I put on the kit lens and head out for some mountain shots. I find my best inspiration walking my shorthair. I'm sure you'll find yours soon.

I have a question about the best of 2006 challenge and I thought instead of starting a thread I'd ask my teammates. :o) Most of my better photos from 2006 are already in my portfolio...is it acceptable to delete one and submit it? The photo I had in mind was fairly recently added and had only 7 views, no coments or favorites or anything.
