Hahahahahaha...I finished DEAD LAST in Sky, never got 0% before! Is there a special award for such extreme suckage?
Meanwhile Brown is hovering around 4.7....and I got some shots for Occupation today and may have my Pattern shot too. Oh what I would give for a macro and a wide-angle lens!!! |

That may very well be the final form, but that plural bugs me. It makes it sound like there are scads of geniuses everywhere. It's probably just me, though.

Your reward is that your image will get lots of views, thanks to being last. ;) |

True genius has no idea what it's doing.
Make "genius" the actor instead of the person in whom genius resides.

Hey noraneko, check out this article. They use Charleston as an example.

bmartuch thanks! Looks like a useful article, and I know exactly where that photo was taken! Believe it or not, Charleston looks like that pretty much year round, so hard to say when photo was created. |

I know, nag, nag, nag.
We need more of the Suck League to pipe up and pick a line to record at the: DPC Christmas Poem.
Don't have a microphone, L2, has a phone number to call on Saturday. PM L2 for details.
Make DPC sit up and take notice-wave those suckers high! |

Crazily, I'm in Patterns with a shot that I grabbed today in town, totally unplanned. I expect it'll come in at around the 4.4 mark, or, if folk are really harsh, be a contender for brown. Either way it should be "interesting". It contains a number of elements that DPCers typically hate. hahaha. |

Gah!! My Pink Floyd score has dropped basically an entire point since it first started to stabilize. Right now I'm one 1/100th of a point away from the bottom of the "I will be pleased with this score" range. |

I'd love to say I now have internet, but I'm actually sitting in the lobby of the hotel I so desperately wanted to get out of. I'm hoping they don't mind too much. Does allow me to check my email and see what's up here. :-)
My Brown entry (yes, I have one) is decidedly mediocre. 5.5 and holding. Been there pretty much the whole time. 2 comments! You can't get a whole lot more mediocre than that.
Shot today for Patterns - I have TONS to choose from, since it's a favorite of mine. But it was a 400-500 ISO kinda day here - very dark and gloomy, so we'll see. Maybe I'll enhance the grain... that's a good Team Suck thing to do, yes?
Will not be in Occupation. If you wanna see me in uniform, check out my SP portfolio from the 30 day thing. Probably will not be in Harsh Environment, because unlike some Team Suck members ( skewsme for example), I'm not very skilled with all that advanced editing stuff.
Meanwhile, unless a miracle occurs I probably won't be back on before Christmas, so have a merry for those that do that holiday, and a happy everything else for the rest! |

And a merry one to you to Deb! Hope you have internet soon (maybe santa will bring it).
I didn't make it back in time to get a line in the poem. Sorry Mary and Don.
My Pink Floyd is still holding barely above a 5. I have two (out of 10) comments with one nitpicky thing and it's the only thing I can think of that brought my score crashing down so far. All the other comments are positive.

Even though you insult me terribly with your mediocre assessment (I struggle for 5.5 :\ ) I wish you a very very merry Christmas! You have made these last few months so enjoyable, and I am in awe of your ability to pick up and move to an unknown place and carry on with the rest of your life as though there was no interruption at all.
Merry Christmas Deb!! |

BTW - did someone move our OOFer's logo? It doesn't seem to be showing up in the signatures anymore. Or is it just me? I went back through the thread and it appears the same way on all of our signatures (a box with the little red x in it and the words oofers.gif).

Hello, fellow suckees! First, very happy holidays to all - Christmas for those who celebrate Christmas, Hannakah for Jeff (I recall reading about latkes in one of your posts - love those things!) Kwanzaa, or whatever else you each celebrate this time of year. We've got a rainy Christmas here in Charleston - I admit I'm dreaming of the snow in Montana, where I grew up.
I'm happy to report my suspension is over - I just entered Free Study - for which I used a tripod for the first time! Wow - what a difference. Am going to try for patterns today.
Cheers to all!

I found a copy and put it in my portfolio.
I think I may have lost the YAPPIE and OOBIE sucker too along the way. But I will search for that.

Well, I'll be off to my family soon and my internetting will be spotty at best until after Christmas, so happy holidays, folks! You are terrific and you've made my dpc experience fun and therefore tolerable.

Hi all Suckees,
Brown is holding steady at 4.797 or something rubbishy like that, prompting me to decide to change my site name. I hardly feel like a hotshot taking pix that tank so spectacularly (although I did choose the name in honour of my one and only horse) and obviously the number 7 didn't help much in terms of luck!
Sooo...I have yet to submit my new name to the Council but should they grant it, I plan to be known here as snaffles (a family of popular bits used in horses' mouths, and more suitable overall for me).
Everyone please have a safe and merry Xmas and a happy New Year! |
