It's your decision, of course, but I don't see any reason why you shouldn't/couldn't enter. I hope you'll reconsider.

What type of photos do we have to take or are they random photos.

It's based on the open challenges for each round. So if it started this week you would need to enter one of the current open challenges.

5. The group will be randomly divided into four groups of sixteen (16) participants each. Within each group, the participants will be ranked by the following statistics on their DPChallenge profile pages as of the date the bracket assignments are calculated:
* a. Average Vote Received, with ties broken by
* b. Number of Ribbons Received (excluding invitational challenges), with remaining ties broken by
* c. Number of Blue Ribbons Received (excluding invitational challenges), with remaining ties broken by
* d. Number of Red Ribbons Received (excluding invitational challenges), with remaining ties broken by
* e. Highest score received, with remaining ties broken by
* f. Coin toss

So if I've never ribboned then i don't have a chance?

That only matters of you tie for a ranking with someone else because you have exactly the same average vote received. It only has to do with whom you'll be matched against, not the result of your entry.

You'll be shooting for each week's Exclusive Open challenges, like normal (your choice which one you want to shoot for).

Why not run it with what you have and adjust the prizes accordingly? I think the $25 mark may have been a bit lofty, but I think a revision of the project description would probably be favorable to most who have already signed up...
