I don't do well in the free studies but this one surprised me. Thank you to all the commentors and those that chose it as a favorite.



eta: It's also my first 7+ and I didn't even get a ribbon!

My first blue and a new personal best! I couldn't be happier! Is there a worlds tiniest violin thread for almost getting a 7? Somehow I don't think anyone is going to feel sorry for me. :)

ashame you couldn't have saved that for negative space, you would have cleaned up.


I'm in Clovis, NM right now but will be back near the lake on Saturday. All I would need is a cool morning with a little fog and I'm in. I didn't think I really had any kind of style or preference of shots but apparently foggy shots are my forte since my top 4 scores are all foggy lake shots. Who knew!

Mine is a more modest PB with a 5.9487. Sooo close to that first 6 I was aiming for!



Anyway, was a big step out of my comfort zone, and was actually very happy with the end result. Got penalized with my choice of PP, but one learns!

Went and peeked and that was a big jump, congratulations. I hope that your next jump takes you to the mid 6 range.

Personal best and first ribbon. Extremely happy. However, I can't help feeling I got a bit lucky with this shot. I guess time will tell.

Or your next one could be a 6.9705 :)

I think it is only a matter of time before you break a 7, you do very nice work.

My first above 6 entry. WOOT. Really made the voting period tense as it bounced above and below six all week. Got some great comments, and as I'm sure I won't be equalling this score again any time soon, I will relish in my current "six-ness" : )
