just a funny story...I remember when Austin Powers first came out. I was in freshman year high school I think. My buddy and I went and saw it for the first time at a discount cinema nearby where admission was only $1.50 each. We loved the movie so much that we went back and watched the movie a total of 13 times in the next two weeks!

Staples in my home DVD library are:
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
The Bird Cage
Tommy Boy
The Wedding Singer
Raising Arizona
The Goodbye Girl (original, not that awful recent knockoff)
Trading Places
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Planes Trains and Automobiles
Best in Show
Robin Hood - Men in Tights
The Princess Bride
Smokey and the Bandit
Airplane
I have dozens more but my head is pounding so I can only think so quickly. ;)

Blazing Saddles
I think I find something hidden each time I watch it.
Takes a twisted mind to understand and catch Mel Brook's humor. I qualify. |

C'mon, nobody's mentioned "City Slickers" yet ("The cows could program a VCR by now!").
I also like:
What about Bob (Gone?! He's not gone! He's never gone!" "Wow, is this some radical new form of therapy?" "Ya see?!!")
The Princess Bride ("Bye, Bye boys, have fun stormin' the castle!") |
