So after years of moping around and borring peoples SLR's, I've finally changed that technical thingy below my DPC username.

Awww-now you dead suckah!

Ze 5D is all mine, smells great too. (Like new)

I plan keep the Minolta Dimage 7Hi Dan (graphicfunk) gave me when I was shooting with my Olympus, for now as a back-up. Eventually I will find someone who was in my similar position and pass on the bliss and give it to them, I work with a lot of kids at work and I know a few.

Watch out! I have no excuses now to not get good pictures! ;-D

Now you can finally make some ribbon winning photos. Your equipment has been holding you waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back.

I'm glad my $25 dollars for your video went to a good cause!

Yeah man, for sure. Thanks to all those who bought/ are buying DVDs.
And also thanks to Scalvert for finding me a good deal, I was able to take this into a local shop and get a similar price and a protection plan / travel-breakage protection. :-D

Yeah, everyone was just being nice because we knew you were too poor for a nice camera.

...pfft. Nice camera, I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun with it and make enough money to buy a crapload of L-lenses and all that.

Congratz on the new gear, boy wonder. Now stop sniffing, licking or whatever else it is you're doing to that poor camera and perform some miracles with it :D

I will likely not be able to tell the difference between shots taken with your Minolta or the Canon. Your style in editing would work with a 3mp Kodak or the 12mp Canon.

I'm sure the Canon will give you control in other aspects of photography.

Let see some with the new cam.
