I know this is probably a rare thread, but I am actually pleased with my placement in From the Ground Up III. I liked my image, my voting was steady (no wild ups and downs - only one 2, and it is now my second highest scoring photo. I hope I can keep this attitude up. It makes DPC a lot more fun.

Anyone else out there pleased with how things turned out?

Worthy placing, great shot and good processing.

considering i went out at 4hrs before the deadline looking for a shot and placed in the top 20%, i'm quite happy with mine...

then, reading all the "sci-fi" comments was great fun last week...

Hey thats great.. this is indeed a rare rare thread.. Usually it's bitter moaning.
I know what I get is what I deserve even though I join in with the bitter moaning.

I usually predict what I get right on the dot. This one surpassed my expectations.

Yeah, mine had pretty steady voting as well, and I was surprised to find it in the top one-third overall.

my only disappointment is that right before rollover mine was my 6th highest scoring image and would have been on my profile. after the scrubber took out the troll votes, it got knocked down. :/

still, i'm happy with it!

You should be, I had this one picked for a ribbon. Outstanding execution and setup!

Hi I liked your picture and the cropping made it look way more interesting, I gave it an 8 :)

Ok, this is not from the Ground Up III but this week I also am very pleased with my picture and the overall results. At some point during the week I even dreamed with something better. It is really exciting LOL

Well, I think it's great to see some positive feedback on the challenges. I was miffed after the last few I entered. I took a break from photography and this site. I made a change in my perspecitve of the site as well as clarified my expectations. The attitude adjustment helped a lot.

The high score couldn't have hurt, either.... ;)
