Taken at the Manchester Science Museum, apparently there is an exhibition of these old double deckers. This one was circulating in the street giving me a chance to shoot it at work.

Being from Mexico these buses are really something different and special. I really love them!!

Note: Sorry for the weird color at the side of the bus, but with basic editing rules there is not much to do about that.

LOVELY!
good work on the editing too - makes the bus stands out from the otherwise busy composition.

Looks good, but what does a full B&W look like, with a bit of ageing! Good work!

Cool desat on the background and keeping the bus red. OH I miss UK. :)

Nice use of selective coloring, usually I am strongly against it but in this photo it works well especially with the muted colors.

Thank you very much for commenting on this picture. This is my first top ten result and it feels AWSOME. It is a great incentive to go for that elusive Ribbon.

With this challenge I learned that you have to be always ready to get the picture you want, cause it's not always there sitting for you :)

Is that the only colour in GB?

this is a lovely period olde worlde type picture. the sepia works for the most part, dating it back to the right sort of era, and the selective desat (using some schmancy mix of hue /saturation i'd imagine) is effective against the sepia colours. something went a bit awry on the front wings of the bus though, which given it's the main subject, kind of makes them more prominent and hard to miss. being super picky also, the shiny bollards lessens the authentic old feel too. but the rest of the surrounding cityscape 9including the lamppost which doesn't distract) helps maintain a 1950's illusion (as does the language of your title!). generally feels a fun, warm image with a nod to happy times. 7.

love the shot - really like how the bus is on the side and not in the middle - gives a lot to the photo

The best one so far, by a country mile! I'm not a fan of selective desaturation normally, but in your pic it works great. It looks so British! 10 from me.
