this is not my first choice entry, as my real first choice has a BIG GIANT DUST BOOGER in the middle of it.

*sigh* i hate basic editing.

the story:
i laid on the sidewalk with a big piece of white posterboard on my stomach. i bounced a remote flash (visible in the magnifying glass -- thanks basic editing!) on the posterboard and asked the kids to act like they were looking at something gross.

originally i wanted it to look like they were frying ants on the sidewalk, but the cloud cover eliminated that possibility.

oh, and i got really weird looks from the garbagemen as they drove by. i've got to get a more secluded yard if i'm going to keep doing this.

I really thought this one might ribbon. It's so cute and so perfect for this challenge. Congratulations on a great score and a strong finish, but I sure would have been happier to see this one higher!

Very good stuff man!

Superb facial expressions. I don't care too much about the expressions on the kids faces. Particularly the girl and the guy on the right.

Not too keen on the softness on the boy in the top left.

You should fix the dust booger on the other one (if possible) and share!

This is fantastic! Fancy getting them to act "normal"! And a fresh approach instead of a tree or building.

great stock shot if you could get model releases for the kids. I'm sure you know yourself anyway, but freed from the basic editing restrictions in this challenge, you could clone out the wires (or whatever they are) on the bottom right of the pic. Nicely done, giving this one a deservedly high score.

Hilarious! and the lighting/tones look really good. I really love the the composition- especially in regards to the scarf. My only nit pick is that the boy in the upper left has is chin cut off a little.

fantastic! what great fun...my only criticism is the bland sky and trees and powerlines...perhaps moving them to another location without the distractions would have been better or something to think about in the future...I love the expressions 8
