Just saw your "Taking Cover" photo on the cover of the photography catalog for the Puyallup Fair.
I saw it in someone's office at work just now. Haven't managed to get to the fair myself yet.
For those not from Seattle, the Puyallup fair is the biggest fair in Washington and runs for about 3 weeks. Most people who grew up here, grew up "doing the Puyallup."

Wow! I just about fell out of my chair just now reading this. I have not yet seen the catalog and was unaware of this news. I was notified that the photo had won an award for "Best in Children" category. That is quite an honor to have a photo on the front of their catalog.
This year was quite successful for me at the fair because I also won "First Place in Drawing" for one of my pencil drawings. This drawing can be seen Here
I have been participating in the Puyallup Fair's Art's and Craft Show for a number of years and have recieved several awards for my fine art but this is the first year I have entered my photography. That is my first award for a photo so I am very happy about it and to make the cover of their catalog is very satisfying.
Thank you for sharing this news ttreit. It has really made my day. Now I must track down that catalog. Maybe they are sending me a copy in the mail.

Congrats Tim! I didn't even make the cut. The closest I came was with Heron Baby Talk, one point short of being displayed. Rats!
Great Job!!! |

Great drawing, thanks for sharing.
Sounds like you could go hangout in the fine arts building signing autographs. Save one for me! :)

This was one of the first photos I saw when I started looking at DC. Still one of the best.

Hi Tim,
You know I absolutely love your work, and that drawing you posted is just as incredible as everything else I've seen. I'm constantly awed by your talent. Congrats for your photo being placed on the front of the catalog. :-)
