hard for me to choose one as I have favorites for many different reasons.
But this one to me is one of the best entries to fit a challenge, "Collections", that I have come across. Its a photo that took a lifetime to develope, and I can sense the pride in her work. How it took second to a box of colored pencils I will never understand...

My personal favs change a lot, but there is just something about this picture that has a magical, feel-good quality about it.
The youngest girl's hand position and her other arm around the older one's neck, along with the tones and dof make this an exceptional, timeless shot that can reach inside me, even on the crappiest of days, and make me smile.
It's hard to try and narrow one out of 450+ shots, but at this moment, this is the one.
I love eye candy as much as the next person, stunning landscapes and such, but what life is all about is people.

as i started looking down through my faves, i thought, "i just can't do this, there are too many images that i love to be able to single one out."
then i got to the one that pretty much changed my photographic life.
i will never be able to thank aznym enough for what this image did for me--it made me realize how much life is in the light, and that i could use my camera to free it. |
