Got a comment saying that I needed a background for my subject because they could see my TV...???

That's really smart you know, because my tv is in the livingroom and I shot my photo in the kitchen with the (darkened=night) kitchen window as background LOL

I was pretty disappointed with this score...until I read through this thread and saw the scores being handed our. I had no idea that 5.3438 was a compliment by the voters. LOL

I've been dropping too but I received a great comment - and that's what it's all about.

Mine is a bit disappointing. I think it's a great shot. I was (and still am) very confident in the shot and on all levels. I know I would score it high. lol.

Anyway, it started with a 6.0 and took a nose dive into the gutter at a 4.5. Today it climbed back up to a 5.6 and is still climbing so I have hopes for it yet! I expect the low 6's by the time it is over. No comments yet though.

YUP, just climbed up again. 66 voters so far. I am still confident for that 6'ish score!

Oh wait. I shouldn't be that disappointed. Because there are 259 entries or so in the Glass challenge then I guess my score isn't all that bad after all. Thats cool!

I assume the experienced score watchers on DPC realize that a single score of a 1 or a 10 will move your average score much farther up or down on the first day than it will, for example, on the sixth day.

Yeah I think so. It's pretty obvious I think. By my 9th score I was down to a 4.5 from the original 6.0, the first score. This was the scary part. It is hard to come out of that slump if everyone else thinks your photo isn't worth a nice score. I guess I am ok then since it has climbed up pretty quickly out of that slump. I am happy with it even if it stays at a 5.6+. I would be happier of course if it went higher. My goal is to keep my average to a 6.0 and above so it would be nice to not keep evening out but to raise it and stay there. :)

Question, I've been on here a little while and I still can't figure out what IMO or IMHO means. Can someone help. I'm sure when someone tells me, I'll probably wonder why I couldn't figure it out. Thanks

I am a little disappointed in the glass entrys, none the less... guess my entry is not as good as I though it was, since it has been hovering all day at 4.0-4.2 range....

Yes i am one of those that are alittle worried about the scores being so low, I thought this was one of my better shots being an amateur and thought my score would be alittle higher.
I must admit my score now is not so bad i can live with it and a few comments so far so yes happy but it was a very slow start.
Thank to those that left comments i'm glad you like the colors but if you could lets get alittle more indepth with the comments to learn from one another.

My first challenge :( Didn't think my image sucked that bad. Very disappointed with lack of comments, more than anything else though.

Oh well, at least the forums here, rock :D

I'm over a 5.7+ now.

Thing is I don't think the winners are posting their scores. It seems to me that the winners would be somewhere in at least the high 6's?
