Nope, keep trying! (and consider investing instead of gambling ;) )

What, and you don't think investors have psychic abilities? How else do you think they make money?

I would, but you keep replying :)

7.5 eh? I'll see what I can do, but you can't compete with my 8.7...the voters must have been especially generous overnight :)

I am so glad I work for the government...don't work on the weekends and I even get Monday off.

Poor, poor BeeCee...now get back to work!

Lol, if you're gonna try bluffing at least make it believable! No wonder your gambling isn't meeting with huge success ;)
Okay, okay, I'm GONE!

I have a question. What's with the balls at the beaches? It wouldn't be something I'd think of, but it seems like it's a well known thing?

As a resident of the north Oregon coast, I enjoy beachcombing for whatever the tide brings in. In my 13 years I've lived on the coast, I've found one Japanese floating glass ball (size of an orange), and been present as two family members have found them as well. I've also found a 36 inch bathysphere, a glass ball used for ballast floatation for undersea unmanned research labs four miles deep in the midi-Pacific. That glass ball was manufactured in Massachuesets, sold to the University of Florida, and washed up on the north Oregon coast, right in front of our coastal village. Japanese floating glass balls, though no longer in production (from what I'm told by beachcomber books), still wash up on the west coast of North America. You can easily tell the true Japanese fishing floats from the tourist glass balls sold in many gift shops along the coast: 1) The Japanese glass blowers almost always put their imprint mark on the bellybutton where they sealed off the float; 2) a glass ball which has floated across the 5000 mile wide Pacific ocean washes up on our coastline sea-worn, sometimes with barnacles attached. In most of the older homes in our coastal village, people have floating Japanese glass balls displayed which they've found while walking the beach. We even have a great local folk band called "The Floating Glass Balls" a group that plays in our local pub every week, featuring upright bass, mandolin, guitar, fiddle and washboard.

How could I bluff a bluffer, BeeCee? ;)

As for the comments, I'm only at 20% so I've got quite a ways to go...if I miss yours I can always take care of ya after the challenge as my psychic abilities are no more :)

I'm inching up a bit and no more comments from me. Guess I need to move my butt if I'm gonna get to 50% and your shot :)

That butt hasn't moved enough! (unless you're a baghead, that is)
And neither has my score... it needs to go up up UP!

Ah well, you're only lagging a step or two behind in the dance, dear :)

So, we've got Tim, Hanneke, acrotide and me in the mid-5 dance. Anyone else joining us?

i started on 4.7 now i am running on 5.4 and it is just gon up and up every time i check it out.
I like it when this happens as long as it stays up there for the rest of the voting.

No huge ups or downs so far. The comments have all been positive, with one picking it as a favourite. Can't complain about that :)

Question: Is it ok to change your votes after you've made them? Or does that dick people around too much? It's just that I've reviewed and found some I've either judged too harshly or too highly...

Of course you can. I wouldn't mind about what dicks people off. I'm glad I can do it, sometimes it's good to look at an image a bit longer the 2nd time :)

Cool. Thought there might have been some unwritten law on voting etiquette... :D Yep, I'm certainly glad I can change a few too. Thanks for that!

Really wanted a higher score, but at least people are commenting this time and telling me WHY they're giving me the score they are. So many times I get no comments and I don't understand what's wrong with my picture.

I tend to go through all the entries and give them an initial score. Then I'll go through them again, analyzing them a little more and possibly changing the score and leaving a comment.

Everyone's got their own personal style for voting/commenting...do whatever works for you.

Don't worry, BeeCee, I won't hold it against you :)

I'm not a member so I'm used to Tuesday night being the end of a challenge. It'll be hard to get used to if I ever become a member (thinking the member challenge goes until Tuesday when it really ends Sunday).

Still plenty of time to break 5.8...or crash and burn :)

That's why I get easily confuzzled. I haven't been a member long, and keep losing track of which challenge is which. And now I have THREE entries in to sweat over.... whyyyyyyy do I do this to myself???

And dearie.... BITE YOUR TONGUE on the crash and burn :P
