OK, i started this thread 2 weeks ago but i guess the title wasn't very catchy cause no one really responded...or maybe my challenge idea is lame. here is a last attempt:

I suggest a 48h challenge where you submit any one photo that got 50% or worse in a challenge and you think is underrated. That way, all pictures that were submitted will be re-evaluated and people scoring them will think twice why the pictures they are voting on were resubmitted. So what do yall think?

This is the last time i bring this specific i dea up again. thanks,

Chris

I think people would be less likely to vote on the challenge.

I actually like the idea, myself. It is a great help to those of us newbies who haven't yet placed a 6 on their scoreboard of challenges

I think it could be a very low scoring challenge.

Yes pidge I am hehe, but oyu know how it is. I have become the Master of procrastination.

As for it being a lowscoring challenge, well that's why you have to submit the one you think is the best out of your low scoring shots.

I think that would count about 75% of my photos into this challenge. LOL

I honestly love the idea. Let's do it.

Well this your chance to take the best of the "crappy" ones and make people think twice about your shot.

Guys guys guys, instead of saying "all my shots are underrated" in this thread, well you can say it if you like, but the point is to see if you guys want a challenge like this one.

Nahh .. to be honest .. I don't want to relive my aweful moments again .. I've only had a couple I felt didn't get the votes they deserved (current included so can't reveal).

The challenge idea has a certain attractivness in that it gives a second chance to an image that you think didn't get the credit it deserves from the voters the first time around. I have many that I could enter, 34 if I counted them right. I think most of them deserved to be in the top 50%, but some really are that crummy. What was I thinking? LOL

Looking at it from a slightly different viewpoint, we would be giving ribbons to shots that the voters have already judged to be inferior. Doesn't seem right that a bottom half finisher in one challenge would get a ribbon in another. The absense of anonymity would push this challenge toward being a popularity contest. And, of course, there is the rule about not submitting the same image to more than one challenge that would have to be waived. Admins/SC don't make a habit of waiving rules.
