I am looking into getting a P&S that fits in my purse for every day candids and fun. I have the Canon 20D, but don't take it everywhere I go (due to the size). The Powershot A700 looks great and //www.dpreview.com has a great review.
Have any of you actually gone to the store and played with this one yet? Do you like the previous models of this Powershot A series? Thoughts... :)

| I'll recommend just about anything in Canon PowerShot lineup. I have a G3 and it is excellent. Before that I had a A60, which is much closer in size and styling to the A700, and it was also excellent -- certainly a good pocket/purse P&S. |

I've been really happy with the PowerShot linup overall. My only reason for upgrading was to get more resolution and the A700 seems to have that covered.

Love the Powershot a series.
I have the Powershot A70 and it was a dandy little camera. Highly recommend it, even though I haven't fiddled with the A700
