I have an idea to add some fun to the 'WPL' that will only be open to people who are not members of an 'WPL' team so they too can get some enjoyment out of it and potentially a fee membership.
I will donate a free 12 month gift membership to the people who finish 1st,2nd and 3rd in my little 'betting' competition.
The basic idea is that I will be the bookmaker/'betting' shop and each week I will post odds on the current competitions. Everyone who registers with me will be given a virtual $100.00 opening balance with my 'betting' agency and will be required to bet on teams of their choice each week. The three people who end up with the most virtual money at the end of the 'WPL' will win the memberships.
This is open to anyone who is not in a 'WPL' team and is on a first come first serve basis and will be capped depending on the response.
I have everything ready to go so the response to this thread in the next 24hours will determine if this gets off the ground.

| I want to bet since this is the first time I've even heard of this 'WPL' thing and I guess that's the only way I can get involved at this point. |

Sounds like a great idea and good onya for donating memberships.
As a particpant in the 'WPL' I appear to be inelligible although as a 'betting' man I'd like to play as well. Even if it means I'm inelligible for any prizes.
Whaddya think ?

Thats great still only have about 5 non 'WPL' members, I would like to have more then that. I think this will have to opened up to all members.

How do the odds work? The more ($) the less (chance/ probability) to win? Call us the odd busters then!

The basic rules as the stand now :
1. If you are a 'WPL' team member you are ineligible for the free membership
2. You must register before week one via PM to me to receive $100.00 credit
3. If you register in week two you receive $75.00 credit
4. If you register in week three you receive $50.00 credit
5. If you register in week four you receive $25.00 credit
6. All bets will be in multiplies of $25.00
7. Minimum bet $25.00 Maximum bet $100.00 this will be revised for the play offs
8. You must bet at least $25.00 each week or have made a bet for the overall champion.
9. If your credits fall below $25.00 you are out of the competition
10. All odds are given in a $ value and represent $1.00 invested
11. Once you PM me your selection it is in place and is irreversible

'WPL'
This a teams competition starting next week you would be 'betting' on who wins the the League overall and who wins the weekly head to head battles.

Update
We have a few bets rolling in now with some big bets put on Team Nikon to win the tournament (silly Nikon owners) and some money for The Outcasts to win next weeks head to head.
You have till next Sunday to make your selections for the first week. If you want to make a bet just go to the thread where the odds are posted and quote the number on the left of the bet you want and the amount. For example if I wanted to vote team Nikon to win the the tournament that would beâ€Â¦. # 2 for $25.00. That’s all the information you need to PM to me.
The rules are also posted in the thread. Good luck and have some fun.

We now officially have 9 starters in the 'betting' competition. I would like to have at least 20 to make it worthwhile.
Most of the early money has been for Team Nikon with a few speculative bets on the outcast.
We have until next week to fill the competition so don't forget if you̢۪re not in a 'WPL' team you have the chance to win a free 12 month membership.

I have to correct you Larus, Icelanders don't arrive on steamrollers, it's icebreakers, or maybe those two foreigners make the difference. This is going to be fun, þetta verður bráðskemmtilegt og vonandi á góðum nótum út àgegn. Gott að ekki var farið að stressast út àað byrja àdag.
