Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM

Since so many DPCers have been acting like kids lately...screaming for attention...blurting out every thought, it really stood out how nice, polite and well behaved these real kids were today, when I had a group of inner city school children in to make cookies. What a delight...I wish we were more like them...

BTW...I was thinking of entering one of these as my shallow dof candid...can you guess which one? LOL

Yes! All my entries for the next week are posted above Candid DOF, Recipe and ...well, is there another Challenge I can shoehorn these kids into? If so I will.

So if you recognize any of these little cuties, please give me a 10...thanx in advance. ;) (joking) LOL

What adorable shots! I love the little faces and expressions! Such a good thing to expose the kids to and I bet it was a lot of fun. Thanks for posting! :)

Laurie, on a very cool note...there was high ranking NYC Edu. official who loved what she saw going down and might write up a grant herself to access funds to use us and our facitlity for more of the same. So this little event might blossom into a very big thing.

BTW my images were shot at ISO 800 and unedited, so if they don't look great please excuse.

Don't mean to be a stickler about this, and the kids, sure they are cute, but to say you are thinking about entering one and asking which one others will guess means you are looking for which one the "voters" think is the best.

On a lighter note, I think it is great that you took in the kids for baking. I am a real ribbon winner in cooking, but didn't enter this particular challenge. I love the fact that children learn to cook at a young age and make it fun. But "challenge wise", and at this site? I personally won't take kindly to the photo if I see it in any challenge upcoming.

I have to say I agree with Rose on this one....I think these are great shots, beautiful. And as it is my industry I love to see how we can give back to the community.
That said, letting us all know the touching story behind the pics and garnering tens in advance does seem a little like grandstanding. I hope my shot can stand on its own, but now I have my doubts...

Enter all or any, and you will get a one from at least two voters I know of, and I will see if there will be more. Hopefully, if you are lucky, your solicitation will gain you enough higher votes to offset it, but I know the last person who did this very thing took a major hit.

Now, if you don't CARE about the votes, then hell, why enter at all? But you do as you please. It is totally legal here, as of now, to solicit votes and pre-challenge entries for critique. Just remember, it is also legal to vote as we each please.

Don't worry...I was only joking. I probably won't enter anymore Challenges as it stands.
