For my Christmas present to myself, I found my 2gb CF card that had been missing for about two months and which I have been whining about incessantly. And for a bonus, said card contains all the eagle shots from my trip to Canada that I thought had disappeared forever.

Also...

-black socks (they never got dirty, the longer I wear them the stronger they get)
-a mixer
-funnels
-basting brushes
-another crockpot cookbook (still no crockpot)
-countertop grill
-squirrel-busting bird feeder and food (I'm a total bird nerd)
-portable heater for my miserably cold house with a miserably high heat bill
-Inside Deaf Cultureby Carol Padden and Tom Humphries
-Bags - A Knitter's Dozen by Elaine Rowley
-some crap lens...Tamron 28-75mm 2.8. meh.
-and, from my mother in law, to accompany the musical tie she sent my husband, these gems which are SO ME

Merry Christmas everyone! :)

I got a box of chocolates, and $100. Maybe I can get the.. er.. 'crap lens' after my next paycheck.

An "under the kitchen cabinet" type cd/am/fm player, some books, a Selah Hymns CD, a gift card, some earrings, and for the whole family our computers (we have 3, including our laptop) are now all on wireless network.

I didn't get one thing for photography, which is a bit surprising. However, my family comes over tomorrow for our gathering and a few more gifts to come.

It has been a very nice Christmas. Worship last evening was just beautiful and made me cry! Merry Christmas to all of my friends here on DPC. :)

my grandmother has one of these. eventually the squirrels learned to chew through the line holding up the feeder, so my grandmother resorted to using the .22 and handling the squirrel population herself. once she had me go out and "test" the feeder to see if the "shocking" feature was still working, and it was...

I think I may have been bad this year because I didn't get bo didley...or however, that is spelled! :) However, I did send out over $300 worth of chocolates to co-workers, to whom I am eternally grateful for their hard work. I bought clothes, a fly-fishing book, and the Live 8 dvd for my roommate. Sent my only nephew a couple of Disney DVDs and some super cute clothes (wish I could have seen him tear through the gift wrap--he's almost 3 years old). Went to my mom's house and brought her tons of Thai food, some cookies and candies, and I'd already given her $$$ that we both decided needed to go our family in the Philippines. If you guys have ever seen that Chevy Chase movie with his Christmas lights, he's got nothing on my mom. She probably quadrupled the amount of lights that he had on that Nat'l Lampoon Vacation. :)

But don't you guys worry none, I've worked a couple of extra days this last week and just a couple more extra days and methinks I will upgrade to a Nikon d200...though I probably won't get it until March because I want to pay off my car first. But yay for me when Christmas comes in March! Woohoo!

And Merry Christmas to everyone and a safe, healthy, successful New Year! And for everyone else who may not celebrate as I do, Happy Holidays!!!

Oh yeah, I'm going to get myself a membership this year to DPC. WOOHOO! Raise the roof!

Jesus Christ has been reduced to an ipod. I guess he is a corporate sponsor.

Here's what I got for Chanukah:
Fresh air
a wholesome meal
not getting run over by speeding drunks while riding my bicycle to work

Joy to the world.

New underwear

(I'm only 1/2 of the models.)

Edit:
One is me, one is my nephew. I was showing my dad how to use photoshop to cut people out and do various things with them. As I was dozing this afternoon this image popped into my head. I (extremely quickly) cooked this up.

I leave it as an exercise to the student to determine who is who.

These were our "it's early christmas morning make people laugh" underwears. :) It worked.

I got POTD on my birthday, Dec. 20. Got an upgrade to the Rebel XT a few days ago for $250. Got a SpyderPro 2 and PrintFix Suite a couple of days ago. A blue ribbon wouldn't go astray. Most importantly my family is doing fine. I feel very fortunate.

But I can't stop thinking about a refugee family living here in this province who are going through a rough time. My Christmas would be complete if the powers that be would have a little compassion for these people: //www.vocm.com/news-info.asp?id=8264 One of the kids has CF, one has speech problems, the mother is pregnant and the father has been arrested and is being detained and will likely be deported. Now the mother has to decide to be deported too or take her chances. Sorry had to get this off my chest. I'm not religious or nothing but please say a prayer for these poor people.

No photo gear, but that's okay, I got myself a few bday gifts earlier in the month. But I got two Bogey movies!!! Key Largo and African Queen!! Awesome stuff!! And a Scott Kirby CD, and one of those little XMODS racecars.
But mostly, it was just nice to spend the day having fun with the family. :D

I got a 2GB SD card for my D50 from my loving girlfriend
I got a Gretsch Historic series accoustic guitar from myself (due to my collection of guitars being stolen earlier this year)
Sigma 170-500mm lens

But the gretest thing i got was a smile from my daughter, it was so good to see her again.

Merry xmas everyone and may all your dreams come true for the new year.

a mat cutter, which I asked for. Hmmm, now all I have to do is learn how to use it!

Hey, did Ken get a baby for Christmas? I'm guessing not, but thought I'd ask anyway.
